Paradise Garden Msambweni

Arrival/Transport

Here you can find out everything you need to know about travelling.

Öffnungszeiten/Reisezeiten

We are open all year round. Between October and April, the northern monsoon wind blows, bringing lots of sun, warmth and warm sea water.
From March, temperatures rise to a good 33° C (22–28° C at night).

During the rainy season with the southern monsoon, there is no constant rain. Mostly rain and sunshine alternate more often. Many people like this cooler climate.

Arrival/departure

There are two international airports in Kenya: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport NBO in Nairobi and Moi International Airport MBA in Mombasa.

From Nairobi you can book a domestic flight (approx. 70–100 Euro) and reach Ukunda in one hour. Then take a taxi (approx. 30 euros) or a rather adventurous tuktuk to Msambweni (we are happy to arrange this, journey time approx. 30 minutes).

There is also a train connection between Nairobi and Mombasa. The costs are reasonable (approx. 10–20 euros). However, it takes a while to get from the airport to the train station (at least 1 hour). After another 5 hours, you arrive in Mombasa and have to plan for another 2 hours, because in Mombasa you have to take the ferry to the south coast and finally reach Msambweni.

From Mombasa you take a taxi (we are happy to arrange this, journey time approx. 2 hours), which will take you directly to us. The cost for one trip is about 60 Euros.

Transport

On request we can organise a taxi transfer service from Mombasa airport (approx. 60 €) or from Ukunda/Diani Beach domestic airport (approx. 30 €). Car and motorbike rental is available in Ukunda/Diani. We are happy to help with this.

Parking

If you come in your own car, you can park on our property free of charge.

Driving yourself

With an international driving licence you are on the safe side. There is left-hand traffic.
